Attorney Cynthia M. Currin      

Ms. Currin earned her B.A. in 1977 and her J.D. in 1980 from University of North Carolina, where she was Phi Beta Kappa and Clerk of Court on the Holderness Moot Court Bench. She concentrates her practice in Civil Litigation, Utility, Cooperative, Corporate and Social Security Disability Law. Ms. Currin is licensed to practice in North Carolina, U.S. District Court - Eastern District of North Carolina, U.S. Court of Appeals - Fourth Circuit, and U.S. Supreme Court. Also, she is certified to conduct Court-Ordered Mediation in North Carolina Superior Court and is a qualified Arbitrator for North Carolina District 10.  Ms. Currin currently serves as Editor of Currin Energy PageŽ (a monthly newsletter distributed nationally, reporting on the newest electric and energy-related legal cases and regulations) and has previously served as editor of NRECA Legal Reporting Service. She serves on the Board of Editors for Trial Briefs (The Journal of North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers). She is a member of Wake County, North Carolina and American Bar Associations, North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers (Member of Board of Editors); The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys, North Carolina EMC Counsel Association, and the Electric Cooperative Bar Association.
